Building with tiles has been around for centuries.  The Portuguese hand painted, tin-glazed ceramic tile work, better known as Azulejo is typical within the Portuguese culture, having been produced without interruption for five centuries. They constitute a major aspect of Portuguese Architecture as they are applied to walls, floors and ceilings.  Not only as an ornamental art form but also because they can perform a specific function in the capacity of temperature control.

Through an impromptu and very generous inviation from Amandio Pereira, Brand Guru and CEO of Boca Do Lobo, we had the honour and great pleasure to experience this culture first hand.

Welcome to our World Of Tiles …
