flex mesh from kaynemaile

Kaynemaile’s flagship product, KML22, is a unique, seamless polycarbonate mesh.  They say their 100% recyclable material takes a 2,000 year-old design flaw and solves it. No links, no joins – seamless.  Each part is solid. Its ability to take on different forms and drape like a fabric to create complex shapes is mind boggling. The 3D form also allows better airflow compared to 2D forms of the same visual density. Check out the interesting light reflective properties they have due to the flat section of each ring as well!

Sustainability advantages:

  • KML22 seamless mesh is produced from a single polymer chain material and is fully recyclable.
  • Unique injection-moulding technique is a zero-waste process.
  • KML22 has an embodied energy (carbon footprint by dust to dust theory) of less than 1/4 that of an equivalent stainless steel product per square metre.
